Kareem Hannoun, PhD, LMA
Dr. Kareem Hannoun, President of Water Quality Solutions, works with clients to understand their project needs and develop practical solutions. He manages projects throughout their lifecycle. Kareem also performs water quality assessments and 3D modeling. He authors and reviews presentations and reports. Kareem has experience in 3D model calibration, validation, and application for infrastructure design, potable reuse, and HAB forecasting. Kareem also has experience in assessment of HOS and air diffuser systems for HAB management and in the evaluation of wildfire effects on water quality. He is knowledgeable in hydrodynamics, water chemistry, and analytical methods relevant to water quality analysis. Kareem is currently President of the California Lake Management Society (CALMS).
Ira Rackley, C. E.
Mr. Rackley has over 45 years of experience on environmental projects, having served as Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager for many large municipal and industrial projects across the southwest, USA. As Senior Engineer at Water Quality Solutions, Ira provides QA/QC review of project deliverables. Ira is a licensed engineer in Nevada and California.
Founder Imad Hannoun, PhD
Dr. Hannoun became fascinated with water movement at a young age while swimming in the sea. He studied civil and environmental engineering at American University of Beirut and California Institute of Technology. After 25 years of fluid dynamics research and limnology investigations, Imad founded Water Quality Solutions to deliver practical solutions to emerging environmental challenges. Imad has been recognized as a leader in 1D to 3D hydrodynamic and water quality modeling. He received the Secchi Disk and Friend of NALMS awards in recognition of his novel contributions to limnology and his service to NALMS.
